About the project
The new laboratory «BOOSTING IDEAS pre-writing workshop» is designed to help authors get acquainted with the unique methodology of the French center LE GROUPE OUEST and diagnose their projects at the earliest stage, to help novice authors discuss projects that have potential for the international market.
Under the leadership of Antoine Le Bos, founder and CEO of Le Groupe Ouest and Gwenaelle Clauwaert, producer and trainer, we will conduct a laboratory where 8 to 10 participants, film authors from Central Asia and Russia, will participate.

When Antoine graduated from the CEEA College in Paris, he studied sailing and philosophy. He began by making short films and creating stage experiments, then wrote or co-wrote around 25 scripts for independent directors. In 2005, he won the Gan Foundation Price as a screenwriter and in 2006 he created Le Groupe Ouest in Brittany, which became the N°1 place in France for training screenwriters. With LGO, he created the Cross Channel Film Lab experience and recently launched the LIM | Less is More project. Since 2016, he has been working in India as an advisor/teacher at NFDC. Since 2007, he has been closely collaborating with TorinoFilmLab.
Gwenaelle Clauwaert
LIM meet coordination, Le Groupe Oues
Gwenaëlle Clauwaert is a film producer and XR producer with her company Ten2Ten Films based in Rennes/France. She has over 25 years of experience in film production and international collaborations with Denmark, Canada, Australia, New-Zealand, Taiwan. Gwenaëlle produced feature films, documentaries as well as documentary series. She involves herself in projects that take a fresh look at the evolutions of our societies, feeding new visions on our way of life.
Gwenaëlle Clauwaert also teaches production and project development in Rennes University, as well as within Le Groupe Ouest professional training programs.
Training in the "BOOSTING IDEAS pre-writing workshop" is FREE
It includes: — Teaching support; — partial payment for meals (lunch);
Applications from authors for participation in the «BOOSTING IDEAS pre-writing workshop» will be open from 15 September to 10 October, 2025.
The selection for the «BOOSTING IDEAS pre-writing workshop» will be published on the CAFG.KZ website no later than 15 October, 2025.

Requirements for participants:
A description of the idea of the film or a synopsis of the future film, which will have potential for international promotion
Higher education is not required, but experience in film is welcome (please indicate this experience in the biography)
Participants in the CAFG educational program can be citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia over 19 years old
All participants are required to know spoken English! All classes are held in English.
